When hazardous materials catch fire, it is important that the fire is tackled quickly. Naturally, you call the fire brigade in such cases, but they need 15 minutes to arrive. In the meantime, it is essential that you manage to contain the fire as much as possible. A foam fire suppression system can provide a solution here. Saval, part of the SK FireSafety Group, designs such systems and is currently building one for a refinery in the Botlek. This foam fire suppression system is being installed by BlusGroep in a fire station manufactured by us. The fire-resistant fire station is equipped with (ATEX) heating and lighting.
