At Delpharm in Bladel, a large pharmaceutical company, KOK Milieuopslagsystemen has installed a storage container with 5 floors. With these extra-high containers, the customer is already saving floor space in its warehouse. Additionally, this “giant” is partially installed in an existing interior wall, which means that virtually no space is lost in the storage area.
To still comply with the maximum allowable quantity of 10 tons per fire compartment, the container is equipped with a fire-resistant middle wall halfway through. This creates 2 compartments of 10 tons each. For the day-to-day operations of Delpharm, this means a PGS 15-approved chemical storage of a total of 20 tons without the need to install a fire alarm system with notification.
In addition, these large containers are less expensive to purchase than multiple smaller containers. As a result, the storage costs per pallet space can be drastically reduced.
