For the indoor storage of smaller quantities of environmentally hazardous substances, KOK Milieuopslagsystemen supplies various types of “safety cabinets”. These cabinets comply with the European standard for fire-resistant safety cabinets.
NEN-EN-14470-1 and are therefore approved for use within PGS 15.
The fire-resistant storage cabinets supplied by KOK Environmental Storage Systems have a fire resistance of 90 minutes. This means the maximum quantity of hazardous substances that can be stored is 250 litres. Most ADR and CMR substances can be stored in a fire-resistant storage cabinet. As each shelf in the cabinet also functions as a spill tray, a different class of ADR or CMR substance can be stored on each shelf.
